Vehicle Description
For sale 1937 Ford Club Coupe street rod. This is a magazine feature car (Sept 06 Street Rod Builder) and it is flawless. The workmanship and attention to detail are evident everywhere on this pro built rod. Car was a two owner California car with 43k original miles on it when acquired by present owner. Some of it's many features;
Frame-Has a Total Cost Involved Mustang II front end with tubular A-arms, 11' power disc brakes and power rack and pinion steering rack. Rear end is a 8' Granada unit with drum brakes and a 3:89 limited -slip set of gears. Tires are 195/70/15's in the front with 235/70/16 Cooper's in the rear, all mounted to Billet Specialties Legacy rims.
Body-Top has been chopped 1 1/2 inches from the doors forward, while the rear qtr windows are stock . The rear of the top has been laid forward to give a more proportioned look to the car. All doors, trunk, hood and hinges have been shaved to smooth out the lines on this flawless PPG Black/Clearcoat finishes body. The rear taillights are 40 Studebaker units that flaw with the body lines perfect. All chrome on car is flawless as well.
Interior-The interior is truly amazing in this car. All custom work was performed by Dick Shelton of Colo Spgs and includes Caddy seats, custom door panels, headliner, console and Lokar e-brake all done up in Ultraleather red. The dash is a 40 Ford unit with Dolphin gauges setting in a ball milled billet insert. Vintage Air A/C vents and A/C Controls also residue in the Ultraleather covered dash. The steering column is a Flaming River unit with a bango style wheel also wrapped in the Ultraleather material. Center console house the Panasonic Stereo, power window controls
and Lokar e-brake handle. Ron Fransic wiring was used throughout entire car.
Engine-The 351W is complimented by Edelbrock air-gap intake and carb, chrome alternator and A/C Compressor, custom aluminum radiator and billet overflow tank. Sanderson headers and Flowmaster mufflers have all been HPC coated silver. Firewall has been shaved and smoothed and looks as nice as the rest of the body.
Trunk-Also done in Ultraleather red and is as perfect as the interior.
This car runs great and goes down the road straight.
Car has won numerous awards at many NSRA, Goodguys and local events over the past couple of years.
