The 2020 Toyota RAV4 only comes with one engine no matter what trim combination you choose. That engine is a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force D-4S injection DOHC 4-cylinder. All gasoline-only engines come with an 8-speed automatic transmission w/OD, and the hybrids come with a 2-speed continuously variable transmission w/OD.

All trims come with Sport, Eco, and Driving modes for a change in driving characteristics. In sport mode, the gasoline 2.5-liter RAV4 can go to 0-60 MPH in 8.0 seconds, while the hybrid version can get there in 7.4 seconds.

Depending on trim levels and options that are chosen, backseat passengers will also get two USB charging ports. Headroom is plenty for all average-sized adults and, with the driver’s seat in driving position, backseat passengers get to enjoy 37.8 inches of legroom.
